Description
Abstract : This report results from the work carried out in the context of the Master's degree in Music Teaching - Instrument (Accordion) and Ensemble Music, of the Higher School of Applied Arts of the Polytechnic Institute of Castelo Branco, in the curricular unit Supervised Teaching Practice and is divided into two distinct parts, but related to each other. The first part addresses the work related to the Practice of Supervised Teaching, carried out at the Conservatory of Music David Sousa (Figueira da Foz and Pombal). Initially, a characterization of the surrounding environment, conservatory and accordion students (solo accordion and ensemble class) is made. The plans and their class reports are then displayed. Finally, a critical reflection is made of all the work carried out throughout the internship. The second part corresponds to the research work developed with the title "Memorization strategies applied in accordion teaching-learning". The study aimed to apply and develop memorization strategies, so that students acquire an appropriate method of study with regard to the memorization of repertoire. Research takes on an action research character in a predominantly qualitative plan, albeit using some quantitative aspects. The resources that supported the intervention were musical scores not worked by the students. The data collection techniques used were surveys by interview to students, questionnaire survey of accordion teachers, direct observation, using field notes, observation and evaluation grids. The strategies used point to very positive memorization results to the extent that the students acquired knowledge and skills to develop an appropriate study method in relation to the memorization of repertoire.
