Description
A segunda
a abordagem de Taubman contribuiu para o desenvolvimento a técnica pianística?;
Abstract : This report is divided in two parts. The first presents the records of activities carried out within the scope of the Supervised Teaching Practice, inserted in the Master's in Music Teaching - Instrument (Piano) and Ensemble Music. The activities were carried out at the Escola de Música do Colégio Moderno, with a student in the final year of the piano preparatory course, and a choir class, with students between the IV initiation level and the 3rd degree (Youth Choir E). The second part consists of the research project, which includes the analysis of Dorothy Taubman's approach to solving problems in piano technique, as well as the empirical study carried out with five students from the same institution where the Supervised Teaching Practice took place. The research questions guiding the study were the following: How did Taubman's approach contribute to the development of piano technique?; What are the differences between Taubman's approach and traditional methods?; What are the strategies used by Taubman to solve recurring technical difficulties?; and, finally, How can Dorothy Taubman's approach help to solve problems of piano technique in piano teaching?. Using the action-research methodology, the study was based on the analysis of the results obtained with two students from the III initiation level and three students from the IV level, after the application of exercises created according to the principles of Taubman's approach. To assist in the data collection process, the following instruments were used: class report, class evaluation grid, monthly evaluation table, two interviews and two recordings of each of the participants (at the beginning and at the end of the investigation, with the goal of being disclosed, together with the respective evaluation grids, so that external opinions on the results can be collected). The data obtained allowed us to conclude that the students gained more awareness of the elements of piano technique that were worked on, as well as a greater concern in correcting their technical problems. Furthermore, the evaluation grids, as well as the ratings given by the teachers who analyzed the recordings, confirm that, after the study, the students evolved positively in practically all parameters.
