Description
tradicional.
barreiras do som.
participante. É importante os alunos terem consciência do mundo sonoro, do ruído e
do silêncio.
Abstract : This research proposes a reflection on the inherent problems of traditional teaching methods, while aiming to understand the benefits of including experimental music in the specialized art education, in order to complement traditional teaching. This research does not have the purpose to supress the scholarly repertoire but intends to add to traditional education new teaching methods, more current and complete. Experimental music explores not only the known limitations on the current musical genres in a certain period, but also the use of new elements, instruments, techniques, and new technologies, permeated by playfulness, autonomy, creativity, and sensitivity, facing the cultural diversity that we find in the acting context. In experimental music we find an audacity and an interest in breaking new sound barriers. The use of new musical elements, such as noise, are characteristic of a clear opening to experimentalism. The introduction of experimental music in the curriculum places the student in the middle of the musical discovery, through experiences and strategies like the improvisation and the selection processes of sounds with intentionality, developing an active and participant listening. It is important for students to be aware of the sound world, of noise and silence. The introduction of these concepts is often easier for children to absorb, since they display an added curiosity relating to sound, exploring new sonorities in a natural and intuitive way. This research longs to identify and understand different advantages for a better development of a child learning.
