Description
O vírus SARS-CoV-2 é muito infecioso e facilmente
transmissível. O diagnóstico precoce é fundamental
para interromper as cadeias de transmissão.
Objetivo
O objetivo deste trabalho é apresentar diferentes
sintomatologia.
Conclusão
Todas as metodologias apresentam características
diferentes. Devem ser utilizadas de acordo com a
situação clínica e propriedades dos testes.
ABSTRACT: The SARS-CoV-2 virus is very infectious and easily transmitted. Early diagnosis is essential to interrupt the transmission. Objective The objective of this work is present different diagnostic methodologies: characteristics, advantages and limitations. Methods Bibliographic review of scientific documents published in 2019 and 2020 with the theme: Diagnosis of infections caused by SARS-CoV-2, their characteristics and performance. Results and Discussion The diagnosis is divided into three distinct areas: The molecular tests RT-PCR, a reference method that searches viral RNA; Qualitative rapid antigen screening tests; and immunity tests. Molecular tests are more sensitive, but take longer and with complex procedures. Antigen tests are screening with low sensitive. While immunity tests do not search for the virus and therefore should not be used as a diagnosis, but for epidemiological monitoring. The diagnosis must result from laboratory tests associated with other exams, radiological for example and also symptomatology. Conclusion All methodologies have different characteristics. They must be used according to the clinical situation and properties of the tests.
