Description
visionamento do documentário “The True Cost” (2015), que explora o impacto do fast-fashion
Abstract : This report aims to report the professional experience of the student Ana Filipa Sousa, in a project related to a collection of sustainable lingerie. It presents the entire course of the master in the project developed, introducing the objectives defined by it, the work developed during the design of the project, and its conclusions. The selection of this segment for the realization of the project was due to the fact the student had as her job occupation the commercial service of a lingerie retail store, which allowed her to obtain extensive knowledge in the area, through market research, to focus on the realization of a collection combined with the concept of sustainability, invoking a manifest in favor of consumption with quality and not quantity. It became imperative for the student to implement sustainability in fashion, after viewing the documentary “True Cost” (2015), which explores the impact of fast-fashion on the community and the planet, wishing to appeal the message to the consuming public through projection of a collection of sustainable underwear, based on the use of basic and simultaneously modular pieces. Before the development of the collection itself, surveys were carried out in order to confirm the real needs of the target audience and to inquire about the possibilities of remodelling and altering the design elements as an alternative to conventional and less essential products. Through the contents described, it is intended to demonstrate how the objectives initially proposed were achieved, in order to meet the requirements to obtain a Master's degree in Clothing and Textile Design.
