Description
The increasing average life expectancy increases the elderly population and Portugal is already considered one of the oldest countries in the world. In this sense, it is important to promote opportunities for the elderly to create conditions for lifelong learning so that they can improve their aging process. In the context of an increasingly digital society, a research was implemented that promoted the use of Apps associated with cognitive stimulation and training. The results of this research involving eleven seniors in the use of ‘Memory Life’ and ‘Attention Games’ apps showed that the levels of motivation, involvement and successful activities were significant. It was possible in this research to verify that the use of Apps is a positive contribution for the elderly with dementia and should be included in the routines.
