Description
realizada no decorrer do ano letivo 2016/2017 e o segundo, a investigação
violino.
Abstract : The following work is the result of an investigation which comprehended to distinct moments. The first one being a Supervised Teaching Practice, occurred during the 2016/2017 academic year. The second, is an investigation concerning the use of digital technologies (mainly MP4 recordings) in the teaching/learning process of the violin and its benefits. For this purpose, a theoretical research was made including the importance of the use of digital technologies in musical teaching, and the use of the MP4 file format in particular. There is also a mention to the Suzuki method since it is the teaching method used with the student mentioned in the investigation. This qualitative character investigation presents a case study of a 6-yearold student in her first year of violin learning. She was followed during the course of an academic year and MP4 recordings were shared between her parents and her teacher in order to help her improve the results of her study sessions. From the practical activities, it was possible to verify a positive development of the student’s capabilities and also an increase of her critical ability, as she chose carefully the best recordings to send. A testimonial from her parents shows the benefits in the usage of digital technologies in the learning process of their daughter. Questionnaires were made to violin teachers and students (each group containing 40 elements) in which was possible to verify that both are predisposed to the use of digital technologies. However, the students seem to be more inclined to the use of digital technologies than teachers. With this data analysis, it is possible to conclude that the use of an MP4 digital support can promote a better quality in the teaching/learning process of the violin.
