Description
Abstract : This report is divided into two sections, one concerning a Supervised Teaching Practice and the other a Research Project, both completed throughout the academic year 2018/2019. The first part refers to Supervised Teaching Practice held at Conservatório de Música e Artes do Centro. The internship was performed with a 5th grade class and with a 6th grade class. In this section, a contextualization of the school environment in terms its history and geography is carried out, as well as a presentation of the entire formative offer of the institution. Summaries, schedules, lesson reports, and insights of music education are included in this section and reporting all the steps taken in the pedagogical practice. The second part of this exposition is directed to the research project, in which the researcher's choice of theme is related to her musical path as a student and now as a teacher. Bearing in mind that improvisation has no central place in a musician's learning process, the researcher aims to promote the development of musical skills through the creation of improvisation exercises in music education classes. The methodology used was the action research and the data analysis was made through evaluation scales made for the purpose. In order to elaborate improvisation exercises, a research was conducted around pedagogues like Orff, Gordon and Dalcroze. Finally, this report concludes by pointing out the positive aspects of the research carried out as well as its limitations.
