Description
Abstract : This report comes under the Master of Music Teaching - Variant of Musical Formation and Ensemble Music, and is divided into two parts. The first part describes the work developed within the Supervised Teaching Practice - Internship, carried out during the school year 2017-2018, at the National Art Conservatory School of Music, in Lisbon, where I accompanied a class of the 4th degree of Musical Formation and two choir classes. The second part concerns the Artistic Teaching Project that I elaborated about the use of traditional Portuguese repertoire as a resource in Musical Initiation classes. Is the traditional Portuguese repertoire a tool with necessary skills for the Initiation? How to implement strategies that allow the development of musical skills through the use of traditional Portuguese songs? Paralleling the work of leading pedagogues such as Zoltán Kodály and Edgar Willems, this project brings together traditional Portuguese repertoire organizing it by increasing degree of difficulty along a cumulative learning path.
