Description
Diante deste quadro, surge o Yoga.
Abstract : Playing a musical instrument requires a lot from the musician at various times of his/her artistic life, both physically – due to the need for daily study, the physical effort associated to it, the repetitive movements, the body posture – and mentally – and may highlight concentration and anxiety. In this context, Yoga appears. It has been proven that the practice of Tradicional Yoga of Índia brings numerous benefits to its practitioners, improving several aspects of their lives, namely their physical condition, self-confidence, self-satisfaction and professional performance. Thus, the present study investigates not only the need of including an activity that prevents the problems that musicians encounter along their artistic path, but also the benefits that instrumentists and also tradicional Yoga practitioners have from this regular practice. According to the results obtained from this investigation, Yoga can be considered a good ally to optimize musical education and performance. Also presente in this volume is the Supervised Teaching Practice, held in the academic year 2018-2019, at Orfeão de Leiria|Conservatório de Artes, corresponding to the subjects of intrument and musical group class.
