Description
O uso de elementos cerâmicos na arquitetura sempre foi um
tema visto em vários projetos. Estes elementos, chamados azulejo,
muitas vezes estão conectados à arquitetura moderna. Na Itália, este
revestimento chamado de piastrelle, é um elemento recorrente na
arquitetura e está detrás de uma ideia de modernização técnica e formal.
Este artigo tem como proposta uma análise através da obra de dois
arquitetos, um italiano e um brasileiro. O artista Athos Bulcão , é
conhecido por sua larga contribuição na arquitetura moderna brasileira.
O arquiteto italiano Gio Ponti, contribuiu por toda sua vida profissional no
desenvolvimento da cerâmica desde o âmbito das artes chegando na
arquitetura.
Esta proposta demonstra a importância destes elementos na arquitetura
e no espaço através de um projeto de exposição, que respeita a
identidade tradicional e mostra a importância histórica que os azulejos
tiveram na historia arquitetônica tanto brasileira quanto italiana. É
proposto uma interpretação inovadora entre estes dois notáveis artistas
que fizeram deste elemento um ícone de perpetuidade.
ABSTRACT : The use of ceramic tiles in architecture has always been a subject seen in various projects. These ceramic elements, called azulejo, are otien connected to modern architecture. In Italy, this element, called piastrelle, is notable material in architecture which forms an idea of technical and formal modernization. This article aims to analyze the work of two architects, an Italian and a Brazilian one. The artist Athos Bulcão, is known for his large contribution to the Brazilian modern architecture. The Italian architect Gio Ponti contributed all of his working life to the development of ceramics, from the scope of arts to architecture. This proposal demonstrates the strength of these elements in architecture and space through an exhibition project that respects the traditional identity and shows the historical importance of these ceramic tiles both in Brazilian and Italian architectural history. The main characteristic of this proposal is the innovative interpretation between these two remarkable artists who turned this element into an icon of perpetuity
