Description
Abstract : This report focuses on the teaching practice developed during the practicum carried out within the scope of the Supervised Teaching Practice curricular unit, as well as the research work carried out within the framework of the Artistic Teaching Project curricular unit. These two scopes, although strictly interrelated, are presented in two sequential parts. The first part is dedicated to the Supervised Teaching Practice, which characterizes the school environment and context, the school itself and the classes in which was developed the teaching of the Instrument-Harpsichord and of the Ensemble Music, as well as the plans of the classes and a critical reflection of them. In the second part is exposed the research work developed and called: The Role of Improvisation in Teaching Old Chamber Music and its Application in Basic Education. Improvisation has always been very present in western music until the mid-nineteenth century; its split with the interpretation since this time seems to be long overdue, although this aspect is, evidently, an essential element of music as a creation, together with performance and listening. The aim was to study the application of a method of improvisation with students of basic music in the field of chamber music, whose main purposes are musical enrichment and complementarity to interpretation.
