Description
Abstract : Amongst a lot of composers forgotten in the history of Brazilian music, we find the virtuoso violinist Flausino Vale. A composer born in a city of the interior of Minas Gerais, that employed in his works the same elements used by great composers of the violinistic repertoire for solo violin. Flausino seeked to insert the regional, folkloric and personal characteristics in a set of small preludes, entitled by him as 26 Prelúdios Característicos e Concertantes para Violino Só. Unfortunately he couldn’t accomplish while living one of his great goals, the integral publishing of his Preludes. In the meantime, time took care of fixing this gap left in the history of Brazilian music. It will be investigated in this work, through historical contextualization, the use of manuscripts and last versions of Flausino Vale’s preludes. Each were the elements used and how he inserted the national characteristics, to carry out the composition of this beautiful work that was praised by great names of the international virtuosity, is what it proposed in this work Preludes nº 1,9,10,13 and 15 of Flausino Vale, N. Paganini’s Sonata N.12 and H. Wieniawski’s Légende were selected to the performance of this work, that will contribute in practice for the understanding of the influences in the works of the musician from Minas Gerais.
