Assistimos a tempos complexos e de mudanças, com acontecimentos que afetam as virtudes e valores cívicos e sociais, apesar dos contributos das teorias éticas e políticas (comunitarismo, republicanismo), alternativas ao neoliberalismo dominante. O conceito de ‘crise (s) passou a ser habitual, numa variedade e contingência de acontecimentos, cada vez mais definidores do contexto social (económico, educativo, cultural, político). As alterações nas sociedades democráticas, nas condições dos cidadãos, a mobilidade, a multiculturalidade, a segurança cidadã, a intervenção de movimentos sociais, o poder do consumo, a globalização na sociedade digital, etc., tudo fez mudar hábitos, estruturas, formas de vida, que estão a evidenciar uma nova cartografia de tipologias de
organização social. A educação cívica incide na educação dos indivíduos, numa sociedade que transformou a conceção moderna de cidadania, devido aos influxos da sociedade do conhecimento, num rumo unilateral de economicismo e consumismo, onde as problemáticas cívicas e cidadãs se agudizam, exigindo novas formulações e soluções. O ‘deslumbrar’ no título refere-se à aposta pela cidadania ativa, complexa e intercultural, ancorada nos valores cívicos, sociais/morais. Teremos como referência teórica algumas perspetivas de autores (Klein, Raussell & Raussel, Ph. Pettit, Colom, A. Cortina, Toffler), que assentam em objetivos articulados com a diversidade cultural, as propostas educativas e os valores na formação do cidadão. O estudo assenta em quatro pontos: A teoria crítica da sociedade e os argumentos sociocriticos da educação cívica; A educação cívica e formação da civilidade; Uma pedagogia para a sociedade civil; A educação para a cidadania ativa, complexa e intercultural pelas virtudes cívicas
We have seen changes and complex times, with events that affect the virtues and civic and social values, despite the contributions of ethical theories and policies (communitarianism, republicanism), alternatives to neoliberalism. The concept of ' crisis (s) became usual in a variety and contingency events, increasingly defining the social context (economic, educational, cultural, political). Changes in democratic societies, citizens ' conditions, mobility, multiculturalism, citizen security, the intervention of social movements, the power consumption, globalization in the digital society, etc., everything did change habits, structures, ways of life, which are to show a new mapping of types of social organization. Civic education focuses on education of individuals in a society that has transformed the modern conception of citizenship, due to inflows of the knowledge society, in a unilateral direction of economist and consumerism, where the civic issues and citizens if constraints, requiring new formulations and solutions. The ' dazzle ' in the title refers to the commitment to active citizenship, intercultural, anchored in complex civil, social/moral values. We reference some theoretical perspectives of authors (Klein, Raussell & Raussel, Ph. Pettit, Colom, a. curtain, Toffler), which are based on objectives linked to cultural diversity, educational proposals and the values in the formation of the citizen. The study is based on four points: critical theory of society and the sociocritical arguments of civic education; Civic education and training of civility; the pedagogy for civil society; Education for active citizenship, intercultural and civic virtues by complex.
