Description
Pretende-se refletir sobre o papel atual do Design de
Informação, salientando a sua importância na difusão de mensagens úteis
e utilizáveis para os indivíduos, numa Era cada vez mais caracterizada por
excesso de informação. O Designer de informação apresenta-se desta
forma, como “transformador” da informação, “tradutor” daquilo que é
real, pois tem primeiro que compreender e depois saber explicar os
fenómenos, o que supõe determinados procedimentos mentais e
técnicos. É necessário reduzir o “ruído” que invade o nosso meio
ambiente, impor a informação e fazer com que esta seja transformada
pelos indivíduos em conhecimento, através da comunicação visual. A
metodologia apresentada, incide sobre o estudo de referências, autores e
infografias, que explicam noções e princípios fundamentais, procurando
justificar porque o Design de informação se distingue de outras áreas afins
e se afirma como uma disciplina própria, sendo responsável por converter
de forma inequívoca, dados em bruto, em informação e conhecimento,
melhorando a nossa qualidade de vida, o nosso acesso ao conhecimento e
a forma como por vezes agimos no dia-a-dia.
ABSTRACT: It is intended to reflect on the current role of Information Design, emphasizing its importance in dissemination of messages useful and usable for individuals, in a period increasingly characterized by excessive information. Information Designer presents himself as a "transformer" of information, a "translator" of what is real, since he has to understand first and then to know how to explain phenomena, which presupposes certain mental and technical procedures. It is necessary to reduce "noise" that invades our environment, to impose information and transform it by individuals into knowledge, through visual communication.The methodology presented, focuses on the study of references, authors and infographics examples, explaining fundamental concepts and principles, seeking to justify why Information Design distinguishes itself from other related areas and as a subject of its own, being responsible for converting in an unmistakably way, raw data into information and knowledge, improving our quality of life, our access to knowledge and the way we sometimes act on our day-to-day.
